Circa 1840 JT Morton Stoneware Crock
Substantial antique two tone crock made in England in the 1840s by J. T. Morton Provisions Merchant {maker’s mark stamped on shoulder.} A number “6” stamp is also visible on the shoulder. Possibly used for storage and transport of salt for export by ship. It has great proportions and scale, approximately 33cm tall and base diameter 18cm. No cracks or chips, however the lid is missing.
